When In Doubt, Shout!

All I Need is You Lord. Psalm 9:1

This isn’t fake it until you make it. This is real deal, you know it so just do it. When you feel so far from the presence of God that you truly wonder if you were ever His in the first place..LET GO AND LET GOD! This is as much for me as it is for everyone else. The Bible contains hundreds of instances of the phrase ‘but God’ and every one of them is associated with Him doing something to or for someone. Almost every one of them is spoken in the context of Him raising someone up from where they were, or are, to where they should be. When everything seems like you’ve lost it all, like Life suddenly took a turn for Wackyville and you’re the only one included in the town census, just remember those 2 words: But God!

We use the statement “But I” quite a lot in life. Every notice that? In most instances it refers to something we either wanted to do, wanted to say, or just plain wanted. It seems like it rarely, if ever, ends with whatever you added after the “But I” coming to pass. We are our own worst enemies. We defeat ourselves before we ever get onto the main battlefield. Why? Because we forgot to bring the single most potent weapon we have with us: GOD!

We humans forget with ease. We forget where we were, where we came from, and where we are now in relation to ‘before’. How about we look at a few of those ‘But God‘. Lets see what we’re forgetting God has, is, and will do for us even though we fail HIM at almost every turn!

“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” – Genesis 50:20 KJV

Like sheep they are laid in the grave; Death shall feed on them; And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; And their beauty shall consume ||in the grave from their dwelling. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: For he shall receive me. Selah. – Psalm 49:14-15 KJV

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:7-8 KJV

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. – 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 KJV

We ALL need to remember that we serve a God that can take ANY situation, ANY problem, ANY need and turn it into that silver lining made just perfect for our lives! We most definitely won’t think so at the time, however, if we continue to trust in Him, have faith in Him, and hold tight to His promises, His Word, and our focus on HIM..

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. – Romans 8:18-26 KJV
